Kamal Haasan is not ready to classify his forthcoming venture ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ in a particular genre. “If you ask me whether it is a comedy film, I would say yes. But it also has romance, action and some serious stuff,” he said.
The ace actor was interacting with journalists in Chennai on Saturday as part of a press meet organised to promote the film, directed by K S Ravikumar and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.
“It is no easy task to take a huge crew to shoot on a star cruiser. It was a huge ship three times the size of a football ground. Thanks to Udhayanidhi and Ravikumar, all has come good and we had no hassles in shooting the movie,” Kamal said.
On his part, Ravikumar said, “Initially we were planning to do a sequel to ‘Panchathantiram’ in a huge ship. But thanks to Kamal Haasan who came up with a catchy story, we shot ‘Manmadhan Ambu’. The film will present you a different Kamal.”
Besides playing the lead role, Kamal has also penned the script and lyrics. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Trisha, Madhavan and Sangeetha play pivotal roles in this film, which is set to hit the screens very soon.
